The origins of these pickups goes back to the roots, Leo’s 1950 set. Those single coils provide the foundation for the TROF pickups — a true classic/vintage sound with a touch of modern refinement. The bridge pickup is dynamic and responsive, with high output, strong low end, classic “twangy” mids, and sparkling highs without painful harshness. The neck pickup gives a warm tone with smooth lows, a well-defined midrange, and sweet, musical highs. Both pickups have excellent string-to-string clarity and they are perfectly balanced together.
